Miguel Serrano's The Golden Thread—Special Pre-Order Offer

Alex Kurtagic

Miguel Serrano's The Golden Thread: Esoteric Hitlerism, is scheduled for publication in the third week of April.

It is, however, already listed in our online store.

If you pre-order now, you will receive your copy up to three weeks before its official publication, for significantly less. The list price is £45 (blame Jeff Bezos / Amazon), but you will be able to get it directly from us for £33. To do so, click here.

For decades this seminal work of Western Esotericism remained untranslated. The same applied to subsequent volumes by Serrano on this and related subjects. Serrano's theses were referred to or discussed in secondary literature, most notably in Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke's Black Sun: Aryan Cults, Esoteric Nazism, and the Politics of Identity, where they were given a chapter. Yet, up until now, the primary sources have not been available in English, except (and sometimes only partially) in the form of amateur or pirate versions, which are fatally flawed in several ways. Firstly, they contain numerous errors or mistranslations. Secondly, Serrano made important corrections to the original in his lifetime that are not reflected in any of the Spanish-language editions, and therefore not in any versions based on them. And thirdly, none capture the beauty of the author's prose; Serrano was a literary writer and consummate stylist, and worked his magic on the reader not only through what he wrote, but how he wrote it.

It is not for nothing that over the years many tried, but failed in their efforts.

The present translation incorporates the author's corrections and is the only one approved by Miguel Serrano's estate; moreover, it has counted with their full collaboration and support. Every word, every phrase, every paragraph of this complex text has been reviewed by individuals close to Serrano and with intimate knowledge of his work. The volume we are herein presenting, therefore, is canonical.

About The Golden Thread

The link between Hitlerism and a millenarian, necessarily esoteric, and in any case suggestive tradition is a thesis that Miguel Serrano enunciated in Chile well before The Morning of the Magicians.

After years of research, mystical experiences in India, and interviews with the most interesting personages of the 20th century—Hesse, Jung, Pound, Skorzeny, Degrelle—the author develops that primitive insight into a delirious exposition.

Gnostics, Cathars, Rosicrucians, Templar Knights, Knights of the Thule Order, hidden leaders of National Socialism parade through the pages of this book, to be found in unexpected castles and monasteries, fighting astral battles whose echoes are recorded in history and which are won or lost in accordance to the direction of the swastika, a symbol that appears inexplicably in epics and cultures apparently alien to one another.

Revelatory authors from the 1960s and 70s—Molnár, Bloch, Evola, Vögelin—have shown the nexus that links utopias, heresies, and secret societies to politics. Miguel Serrano, on the basis of documentation, abundant iconographic material, and unpublished testimonies applies the same methodology to National Socialism, with surprising and polemical results.

This English-language edition comes with a full complement of endnotes and a comprehensive index, neither of which were available in the two Spanish-language editions.
